Summary
The Nursery Attendant is an hourly position at Pendleton Church of God to provide childcare for children ages 0 - 3 years old on Sunday mornings during worship and on various evenings during the week. The Nursery Attendant will work with parents and other volunteers to create an environment in which children feel welcome, safe, and loved while family members are in service.
Position Details
Rate: $12.50/hour
Hours: Sundays 8:15AM – 12:30PM, Tuesdays 6:15PM – 8:15PM. Days and hours will fluctuate throughout the year depending on events and activities happening in the church.

Job Description
- Facilitate devotionals, songs, and Bible stories.
- Direct and supervise the children and the volunteers in the Nursery.
- Provide safe and age-appropriate activities for children.
- Maintain the check-in/check-out system for children dropped off and picked up. Ensure that children do not leave the Nursery unless with the adult authorized for pick up.
- Ensure that children are always accompanied to the restroom by an adult. Take precautions when changing diapers by using gloves.
- If snacks are served, collect accurate information from the check-in system about food allergies and be diligent to follow this instruction.
- Maintain general upkeep of the Nursery and ensure that the Nursery is tidy and clean.
- Sanitize toys regularly.
Expectations
- Must obtain and keep a current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Submit to a state and federal security background check and pass a drug screening.
- If ill or unable to work, provide PCOG staff with at least 24 hours notification.

- Ability to supervise struggling and special needs children.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers.
