DIRECTIONS

WHAT TO EXPECT

Visiting a church for the first time can be overwhelming. We put together a few things you might want to know before your first visit to
Pendleton Church Of God. We want to help you feel at home and comfortable from the moment you step in our doors.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

PCOG is part of a reformation movement and filled with people from all walks of life. Some wear suits or dresses, but most people wear jeans, including our pastors!
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU PLAY?

Our worship team tries to bring a variety of songs from modern contemporary to traditional hymns.
WHAT ARE THE SERMONS LIKE?

Our Pastor preaches right from the Word as we journey through the Bible. Each sermon is based on the book of the Bible we're in. We work through the whole book, verse by verse, chapter by chapter.
HOW LONG IS THE SERVICE?

We have one service on Sunday morning starting at 9:30AM. Service is just under an hour and a half, including worship.

NURSERY

NURSERY
Ages 0-3

Sundays  |  During Service

Our desire is that your kids experience the love of God in an environment that is safe, clean and fun. We believe that kids should love going to church. Our dream is to see them develop their own relationship with Jesus at a young age and grow in their faith alongside other kids.

We also have two mother's rooms for all your little ones needs.

We do ask that you have a designated person that signs your little one in and out of the nursery each week.

CHILDREN

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Ages 4 Years - 5th Grade

Children's Church   |  Sundays @ 10 AM

4 years old - 5th grade are dismissed right after family worship service in sanctuary. Our Children's Ministry meet downstairs for a time to enjoy their own teaching from the Bible, learn about the Lord, make crafts, have a snack, and walk alongside one another in their identity as children of God!

There are three different classes available based on grade level.
YOUTH

Middle & High School

Youth Group  |  Wednesdays 5:00 - 8:00PM

We are the Remnant Youth!
Our youth meet every week at PCOG to enjoy fellowship, games and activities, dinner together, time in worship, and hear God's truth. We have small group activities as well as family fun nights and a monthly Friday Hang Out Night for students. (Please check out our calendar for the date each month or call and speak with our Youth Director!) We don't believe that students need to wait to have real relationship with God, become disciples, step into their call and or become leaders; God wants to do something significant in their lives now!

Sunday Middle School Class
|  10:00AM

Our middle school aged students are dismissed to their own class following family worship in sanctuary. They dig into God's word and have a time of age appropriate reflection and discussion to create a culture of being hearers and doers of God's word.

BAPTISM

Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized when He was on the earth, and we do this to follow His example. When Christians are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection. We believe that water baptism is a public declaration of three important things: you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are beginning a changed life in Christ, and you are part of a new family.

CHILD DEDICATION

In the Luke 2:22-40, Jesus’ parents dedicated Him to the Lord, and He was later baptized as an adult (Matthew 3:16–17). With a heart to follow this Biblical model, we provide opportunities for child dedication and believer’s baptism for children when they're old enough to make the decision for themselves.

We invite you to have family and friends join you for your child's dedication. We'll pray for each child and their parents, and present you with a letter from our pastor to commemorate the day. If you'd like to dedicate your child, you can fill out a registration form to schedule it during one of our Sunday morning services.
