WHAT TO EXPECT

Visiting a church for the first time can be overwhelming. We put together a few things you might want to know before your first visit to
Pendleton Church Of God. We want to help you feel at home and comfortable from the moment you step in our doors.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

PCOG is non-denominational and filled with people from all walks of life. Some wear suits or dresses, but most people wear jeans, including our pastors!
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU PLAY?

Our worship team tries to bring a variety of songs from modern contemporary to traditional hymns.
WHAT ARE THE SERMONS LIKE?

Our Pastor preaches right from the Word! Right now we are journeying through the Bible and each sermon series is based on the book of the Bible we're in.
HOW LONG IS THE SERVICE?

We have one service on Sunday morning starting at 9:30AM. Service is about an hour and a half each including worship.

NURSERY

REGISTER
NURSERY
Ages 0-3

Sundays  |  9:30AM  - 11:00AM

Our desire is that your kids experience the love of God in an environment that is safe, clean and fun. We believe that kids should love going to church. Our dream is to see them develop their own relationship with Jesus at a young age and grow in their faith alongside other kids. We only register our nursery aged children (0-3 years old). Once your child is registered in our system, our nursery attendants can easily check in your child each following week. Preschoolers now have their own Sunday school class taught in the nursery with worship music, and a story about Jesus taught at their own level.

CHILDREN

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Ages 3 Years - 5th Grade

Children's Church   |  Sundays @ 10 AM

First Service: 3 years old - 5th grade are dismissed to go downstairs right after worship.

Second Service: Preschoolers now have their own class in the nursery and K-5th can immediately join their classrooms downstairs before worship begins.

Our Children's Ministry have a time to enjoy their own worship, make crafts, listen to a teaching from the Bible, learn about the Lord, and walk in their identity as children of God!
YOUTH

youth

Middle & High School

Youth Group  |  Wednesdays @ 6:30 - 8:00PM

Our youth meet every week at PCOG to enjoy dinner together, spend time in worship, and hear a word from our youth pastor. We don't believe students need to wait and "grow up" before they have a real relationship with God and become leaders; God wants to do something significant in their lives in their middle and high school years.

BAPTISM

Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized when He was on the earth, and we do this to follow His example. When Christians are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection. We believe that water baptism is a public declaration of three important things: you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are beginning a changed life in Christ, and you are part of a new family.

CHILD DEDICATION

In the Luke 2:22-40, Jesus’ parents dedicated Him to the Lord, and He was later baptized as an adult (Matthew 3:16–17). With a heart to follow this Biblical model, we provide opportunities for child dedication and believer’s baptism for children when they're old enough to make the decision for themselves.

We invite you to have family and friends join you for your child's dedication. We'll pray for each child and their parents, and present you with a letter from our pastor to commemorate the day. If you'd like to dedicate your child, you can fill out a registration form to schedule it during one of our Sunday morning services.
